Beauty Foods: Beautiful Skin from the Inside

What if we said that you can have your chocolate and eat it too? You might say “Are you kidding me? I would be wearing the chocolate on my hips and thighs tomorrow!”

Alright alright, but what if we said chocolate is good for your skin? That’s right! You can eat your way to gorgeous skin.

Here are some delicious foods that are packed with skin-healthy vitamins and antioxidants so that you can feed your body from the inside.

1) Fruit

Fruits such as oranges and peaches are high in vitamin A that promotes skin-cell renewal. Vitamin C-rich kiwi and berries are high in antioxidants that destroy free radicals and help to replenish collagen so skin stays young and firm.

2) Fish and Nuts

Salmon and tuna are a great source of essential fatty acids (omega-3 and omega-6) and help to reduce inflammation that can result in clogged pores and acne. Nuts such as almonds are great snack foods that are skin-savers too.

3) Chocolate

Yes, you heard us. CHOCOLATE! But not just any kind of chocolate, specifically, dark chocolate with a high cacao content. It’s a great source of antioxidants that protects skin from environmental damage and is oh so delicious! Chocolate also has been known to be an aphrodisiac. We’re just saying.

And, remember to hydrate. Our bodies are 70 percent water and drinking water helps to flush out toxins that pollute our skin and is vital to healthy bodily function.

So, eating the right foods can help to beautify your body from the inside and your skin will thank you for it. Bon appetit!
