Finally time for some self care this evening. And, many of you know that one of our weekly skin care routines includes ACV (apple cider vinegar). We use it as an exfoliant and toner to help balance the ph of our skin and reduce breakouts. It’s always important to dilute the ACV (one part water to one part ACV) before using otherwise it could be too strong. After rinsing our face, we dip a cotton ball into the solution and gently massage skin in circular motions. Then cleanse and rinse. It’s that simple. Be well and Be Kind to Your Body. When it comes to skin care, we like to keep it simple. Here are some basic steps for healthy, beautiful skin: cleanse, exfoliate and moisturize.
Cleanse: Use a mild, daily cleanser to dissolve pore-clogging dirt and oil. Avoid using harsh cleansers and soap that can irritate and over-dry your skin.
Exfoliate: Weekly exfoliation removes dead skin cells, reveals younger, fresher skin, and allows your skin to absorb moisture. Avoid exfoliating too often or scrubbing too hard as this can damage the skin’s surface. We find exfoliating masques better for oily, acne-prone skin.
Moisturize: Protect your skin from losing moisture. Avoid over-moisturizing as it can clog pores and, if you’re going outside…don’t forget the sunscreen!
